Proverbs 16:20 (NLV)
He who listens to the Word will find good, and happy is he who trusts in the Lord.
The Kingdom of God is not for the lazy, fainthearted/ weaklings and neither is it for the hardhearted. Hardhearted? Yes, men and women who are not ready to yield to the Lord’s guidance/counsel. Across the scriptures the Lord clearly teaches us this truth. For example hear Exodus 34:09b (NLT), “…Yes, this is a stubborn and rebellious people, but please forgive our iniquity and our sins. Claim us as Your own special possession.”
Any man/woman who’s begotten of a woman and man is born a sinner and one of a hard heart. This is because they are born in the lineage of Adam which is the natural/human lineage. However in our new birth, above the remission of our sins, we are dealt a new heart and one that’s inclined to the Lord’s guidance/voice. Hear Ezekiel 36:26(MSG), “I’ll give you a new heart, put a new spirit in you. I’ll remove the stone heart from your body and replace it with a heart that’s God-willed, not self-willed.”
The Lord has brought us into fellowship/communion with Himself and in this communion, He desires to have a vibrant Father-Son relationship. In this relationship He is ever speaking to us and all that’s requisite is our learning to pick and yield to His voice. Selah!
This day no matter the situation that you might be facing, the Lord desires to have you attend to His Word as highlighted in our lead verse. Do you desire to see goodness in your life? Then let His Word become your meal. Learn to hearken when He speaks. Praise the Lord!
Matthew 17:05 (MSG), While I was going on like this, babbling, a light-radiant cloud enveloped them, and sounding from deep in the cloud a voice: “This is My Son, marked by My love, focus of my delight. Listen to Him.”
The voice of God is known of my heart for the Word of God is at home in me. I greatly rejoice in doing the Word. My steps are established in light of His Word. Hallelujah!
