Pastor Josphiah 1 Samuel 02:09b(CEV) …We cannot win a victory by our own strength. Today’s lead verse reminds us of a verse in Psalm 20:07 (NIV), ”Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.” Written by David who was a man of war, it explains where chariots and horses were coming from. From the natural view point, the stronger the chariots you had and the stronger the horses, the better your chances at war. But David had a higher revelation; He knew that the only way they would keep winning was through the Name of the Lord their God. Hallelujah! It is important for all of us to grasp this in life. We no longer have to go for wars like the Israelites but we are looking at victory in our homes, schools, offices and businesses as well as in ministry. Our victory is never about how much skill or strength we have. Does that mean that we do not put any effort? No way. The Lord does not for a moment support laziness, but in the same way He also does not support self-confidence but rather He desires that we cultivate God-confidence. Where we actually participate with Him and the Grace availed so
as to shine in all we do. We understand that we can do all
things because Christ infuses inner strength in us. Then we
are assured of victory and victory only all days.
Beloved, We do not succeed by our own ability, wisdom or
skill but we are successes and ever have victory because
we have God in us. While others might win today but fail
tomorrow, we win always because our victory is in the
strength of God that can never run out. Hallelujah!
Dear Father, I adore You that I win all days, not
by might nor by power but by Your Spirit. I have no
room for failure or drawing back, I am ever set in
paths of victory. Amen
