A PLEASANT LIFE

  • September 17, 2017

Pastor Karen
Psalm 16:06 (CEV)
You make my life pleasant, and my future is bright.

We learnt a few days ago, that the Lord does not call the Christian to a disorderly, unkempt life, but into a holy and beautiful life. It is an amazing thing to know this, but it is another to allow it settle in our spirits and thus change our view of life. We need to be fully persuaded that the Lord means exactly what He says concerning our lives. Hear Numbers 23:19 (AMP), “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken and will He not make it good and fulfil it?”
David had this understanding and His confession in our lead verse goes to show this. He was fully persuaded of the kind of life he had in God. How much more us that are one with Christ. Selah! The bible shows us that He that is joined with God is one with Him in Spirit (1 Corinthians 06:17). Now I am one with God and there is no way He can have anything unpleasant or dull in Him. Beloved we walk in this consciousness all days. Praise the Lord!
The Lord is committed to making our lives pleasant. He tells us in Jeremiah 29:11 that He has good plans for us, plans to give us a future and a hope. We cannot for a moment doubt this fact. He is also committed to making not only our present pleasant but our future bright. Proverbs 04:18 (MSG) renders “The ways of right-living people glow with light; the longer they live, the brighter they shine.”
Beloved, the saints are the right-living people and so this right here is our portion. The longer we live, the brighter we shine. Our ministries can only shine brighter, our marriages only glow and glow, our careers and businesses as well. Be convinced of this even as you live every day. Confess it as you walk around, as you conduct your everyday activities, as you are resting and also as you pray. Confess it to your spouse, to your children, to your employees to all around you. The Lord makes our lives pleasant and our future is bright. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION:
The Lord makes my life pleasant. My future is bright only. I know pleasant things only. I am eternally at a pleasant place. I shine brighter and brighter with every day I live. I have no room for unpleasant things or for dullness. I enjoy my life every day.
Amen
